The purpose of the script outline is predominantly to organise our thoughts before going into the recording.

It consists of 4 main parts:

  1. Pitch: a one short summary describing the idea behind why people should listen to the show
  2. Episode intro: a short scripted section that the Hosts read. It should "sell" people on why they should listen
  3. Topics to cover: a bullet point outline of topics/ ideas to discuss during the recording
  4. Appendix: any "messy notes" that relate to the research of the episode

The script outline should be prepared by the Researcher (in collaboration with the Project manager and/ or Producer) to be the document that everyone in the recording studio refers to.
