This responsibility is concerned with, well, producing the final episode. It requires being the creative leader in combining the different audio recordings into the final podcast episode.

The producer will work closely with the Audio editor who will mix together the audio clips.

Identifying the audio

The audio that will be used in the final episode will consist of:

By the time the studio recording takes place we will have a good idea of the structure that will be used in the final episode.

In theory the session will be the main audio file to be used in the show and then additional snippets will be added later.

Creating a production plan

Here your job is to map out what audio is going to be used when and where, and to give it to the audio editor.

Discuss the arc of the episode

Even though the script outline was the plan, it might be that, after doing the recording, it would be better to reorganise when certain segments are said.

Work with the hosts to agree upon the broad narrative that the show will have, and come up with ideas for to make it "wow factor".

Write up the production plan
